Shovio, the two way TV radio broadcast network was co-founded by pioneer Leslie Gold, also known as The Radio Chick. Shovio takes live online broadcasts one step further than U-stream by allowing audience members to chat with hosts on video with a Skype-like service. The new Shovio.com network boasts a roster of top professional broadcasters and personalities in addition to the Radio Chick such as Don Imus sidekick Karith Foster and comic radio bad boy duo Star & Buc Wild.
Media Personality Abiola Abrams (formerly of VH1’s Tough Love and BET’s The Best Shorts) will join the roster on May 12, 2010 with a weekly show in the Wednesday 10pm slot. The after dark one-hour show will cover love, sex, dating, relationships and celebrity drama. The show is tentatively titled “xo, Abiola; Kiss & Tell TV Radio on your dot com dial,” and will feature heavy audience interaction, sexperts, celebrity relationship news, adult toy giveaways, and clips from Abiola’s award-winning bi-weekly web series Kiss & Tell TV.
Look for Abiola Abrams on “xo, Abiola; Kiss & Tell TV radio” weekly on Wednesdays from 10-11pm EST beginning May 12th on Shovio.
It’s been a fun and interesting transition rebranding The Planet Abiola Show to Abiola’s Kiss & Tell TV. My award-winning web series premiered in 2008 and it was time for a new face. We still have lifestyle episodes like cooking, fashion, crafts and celebrity interviews, but we also have a focus on love, sex, dating and relationships.Viewer response has been all positive.
Recently we shot a couple of episodes in LA: Dating: When to Introduce the Kids and Mini Los Angeles Travel Guide. We also shot an upcoming episode in hippie paradise Woodstock, NY, Would You Be in an Open Relationship?
It’s great to leave Winter on the East Coast goodbye, and we let the winter go by giving out very special gifts to some of our dedicated AbiolaTV viewers and Youtube Subscribers. We gave a FULL Sade music catalog (all of her CDs and music) to our superfan on Youtube @Pirate7X. We also gave a very special limited edition Whitney Houston 25th Anniversary Autographed CD and DVD set to our special YouTube viewers (1) hourglas39 (2) bebbbalicious (3) Mariah Christian on facebook (4) WaterDreaminOphelia (5) xoxjustme93xox. Congrats to our viewers, fans and friends. It made us SO happy to share with you.
