Yay!! Big announcement about Abiola’s Kiss & Tell TV— my Executive Producer Kristal Mosley and I just returned from the LAWebFest, a media festival that showcases and honors original web TV shows and guess what? We won THREE awards for outstanding achievement for our web series Abiola’s Kiss & Tell TV. Abiola’s Kiss & Tell TV is a weekly lifestyles show and rebranding of the Planet Abiola Show. We premiered in 2008 as The Planet Abiola Show and cover love, lifestyles and celebrity interviews. We’re thrilled to have been honored.
Excerpt from Festival Press Release:
Los Angeles, California—The Los Angeles Web Series Festival picked 47 shows to screen at this first-of-its-kind assembly of web series. “We received 100 submissions,” said LAWEBFEST Executive Director and Founder Michael Ajakwe Jr.. The shows cover a diverse landscape of genres—drama, comedy, dramedy, horror, scifi, documentary, Vlog, lifestyle, travel, talk, even a 60-second soap opera.
LAWEBFEST runs March 26-28 at the Stage 52 Theater with Opening Night festivities paying tribute to Robert Townsend’s “Diary of a Single Mom” which the festival is recognizing as “Web Series of the Year.” Closing Night will pay homage to NBC.com’s “CTRL”.
