Take an extended visit to Planet Abiola where all women are pampered and empowered goddesses and are titillated by the hottest celebs and tales of love, sex and dating.
Yes, I’ll take an one-way ticket, please.
A woman with an infectious personality and many titles, Abiola Abrams has set the bar when it relates to blending the seductive topic of amour with the advances of social media.
Virtually holding a spot on almost every means of reaching the masses on the Net, the author of the highly praised novel, Dare and one of the most read sex and relationship columnists for Examiner.com has no intentions on slowing down and honestly, who would really want her to?
One of the few African American women to leave a more positive mark on reality television after her stint on VH1’s Tough Love, Abiola continues to heat things up in front of the camera with her new show on Shovio and her “Kiss N Tell” series which also shares its name with her monthly event at Madame X in New York.
And speaking of “Kiss N Tell,” … MORE…

It’s been a fun and interesting transition rebranding The Planet Abiola Show to Abiola’s Kiss & Tell TV. My award-winning web series premiered in 2008 and it was time for a new face. We still have lifestyle episodes like cooking, fashion, crafts and celebrity interviews, but we also have a focus on love, sex, dating and relationships.Viewer response has been all positive.
Recently we shot a couple of episodes in LA: Dating: When to Introduce the Kids and Mini Los Angeles Travel Guide. We also shot an upcoming episode in hippie paradise Woodstock, NY, Would You Be in an Open Relationship?
There is an ongoing conversation about single successful black women and their increasing prospects of dying old, bitter and alone that has been going on for the past 24 months. Just when we think that this dull woman-hating conversation is over it picks up new speed. Enter again Nightline and Steve Harvey.
Activist and writer Megan Carpentier (who will read on 4/20 at Kiss & Tell Live) assembled a wonder woman panel of black women to put the issue to bed. I am honored to share the page with the brilliant and beautiful TWANNA HINES, LATOYA PETERSON, SISTA TOLDJAH. Check out the Jezebel, Steve Harvey & black women article here and my full Why Can’t Black Women Find A Man article here.
“Abiola’s Kiss & Tell Live Revue” is a monthly storytelling & performance series that combines love, sex and comedy with the brightest talents in the worlds of literature, media and sexuality. The reading series is curated and hosted by media personality, author & columnist Abiola Abrams and features writers and entertainers ranging from New York Times bestselling authors, feminist scholars and top bloggers to burlesque performers, erotic poets and sexperts.
The outrageously fun and often bawdy series takes place at Madame X in NYC on the 3rd Tuesday of every month with free audience giveaways and cheap champagne cocktails. Each installment honors an exemplary Kiss & Tell author or media-maker. Rated R. Not your mama’s reading series!
In addition to our exemplorary readers we have $5 champagne cocktails, a lip gloss bar presented by FSL Cosmetics and Luscious Lifestyle Diva Shoshi reading tarot cards during intermission.
